Teracom Enters In Low Cost Tablet War With Lofty Series

    Recently, electronics equipment maker Teracom has announced about its new tablet series “Lofty” with join hands on Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL). There are three devices in the range of Lofty as TZ300, TZ200 and TZ100. The model TZ100 is an entry level tablet which cost Rs. 3999 only. It is powered by 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 Processor and 512 MB DDR3 RAM.
     It runs on AndroidTM 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS. It has 0.3 MP camera for video calling. The connectivity options include USB 2.0 , WI-Fi and 3G dongle support. It comes with 7”LCD Resistive Touch Screen and 4 GB internal memory expandable up to 32 GB.Teracom has put 3000 mAh battery in the device and also 3D gravity sensor. The device is capable to play HD video (1080p). In the second model TZ200 all of the above options are given plus to connectivity user will find an HDMI port for HD TV. It is available at MRP Rs. 6499. 
     In the third model TZ100, the company has made a slight difference. The display resolution is 1024 X 600. It supports network EDGE, WCDMA, HSDPA and HSUPA. The user will find higher processor as 1 GHz Cortex A9. The Bluetooth, GPS, Digital compass or added options. The model TZ100 is available at price Rs. 10999. As per news in TOI company will be providing MTNL data plan along with the device, that should be used within two months. Teracom has made plan for sale this device through MTNL channel.
