On Facebook, users can get information about how the person is connected with him in chat. If the user is connected by mobile device than related icon appears near the name of chatter in chatting box. Same way, there is setting in Gmail too, from where we can see if the user is connected with you using a mobile device. In the above figure you can see a green sign of android as a prefix with a user name, which indicates that the user is connected with an Android device in chatting session. The Green Android sign means it is active and red colored Android sign means it is in idle status. If you want to see how your buddies are connected with you in Gmail chat session, simply follow these steps:

1. After logging into Gmail, Go To Setting which located on the right top corner under the profile picture.
2. Click on Lab
3. From the list third option is there as “Green Robot!” Just enable it and click on save changes. You are done. Now can see the list with Android icon, keep in mind it will appear only if your buddy is connected using Android Smartphone or tablet PC.
